Call for help: JoomGallery for Joomla 4
- Details
A few days ago, Joomla 4.0 was released as a 'stable' version. We have received many questions about whether and when there will be a JoomGallery for Joomla 4.
The answer is simple: Of course there will be a JoomGallery 4!
Let's work together to make the JoomGallery ❤ code fit for Joomla 4.
For this big step we need the support of the community. You are the ones using JoomGallery and it should fulfil your demands as best as possible.
Moving to a new major version (4.x) gives us the opportunity to make greater changes to the code without worrying too much about backwards compatibility.
What is important to you? Which features can be removed and which need to be added?
In this forum thread you can and should post your wishes and opinions about JoomGallery 4.
Some work has already been done, but there is still a lot to do.
Developers who are willing to actively adapt the software code on Github are especially helpful.
And of course, the entire software code still needs to be tested extensively.
Help us shape the future of JoomGallery!
Please read here how you can support the JoomGallery project.
The JoomGallery is an Open Source project
- Details

Just like Joomla! the gallery component JoomGallery is an Open Source project and exists because of its community. Which means that everything in the project is developed and maintained by the users of the JoomGallery. It is our wish (of JoomGallery friends) that the project can continue as an Open Source project.
