Help-Page for the Jg3ToJg4 migration script.
Here you will find two help videos for the migration test of your websites. Firstly, it is important to note that the current state of the migration must NOT be done on a LIVE site.
Please only work with a COPY of your JoomGallery 3 site. Please update first at least to the latest JoomGallery version 3.6.2.
If you want to use the new directory structure of JoomGallery 4.x, it is recommended to install the JoomGallery version 3.7.0-rc1 and adjust the aliases and folder structure in the maintenance manager.
Two different videos show you two different migration options for your website copy.
On the one hand there is the possibility to migrate JoomGallery 3 from an existing Joomla installation. (do not use a live site!!!) or the second is to import the data on a fresh Joomla 4.x or 5.x version from another JoomGallery 3.x source!
